Statistics Lecturer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and committed Statistics Lecturer to teach Pre-University Course (PUC) students. The ideal candidate should have a strong academic background in Statistics, effective teaching skills, and a genuine passion for student development. The lecturer will be responsible for delivering the PUC Statistics curriculum, conducting assessments, and preparing students for board exams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach Statistics for 1st and 2nd PUC as per the Karnataka State PU Board syllabus.
• Prepare lesson plans, notes, and teaching aids to enhance the learning experience.
• Deliver classroom lectures using a mix of traditional and modern teaching methods.
• Conduct regular tests, assignments, and remedial sessions to support student progress.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and final board examinations.
• Track and evaluate student performance and maintain academic records.
• Provide one-on-one mentoring and academic support as required.
• Participate in faculty meetings, academic planning, and staff development programs.
• Contribute to the improvement of the Statistics curriculum and teaching practices.

Qualifications:

• Educational Requirements: Master’s Degree in Statistics or M.Sc. in Statistics from a recognized university.
• Preferred: B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Prior experience in teaching PUC or higher secondary students is an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Karnataka PU Board examination pattern is desirable.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
