Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of a global agile software team at Illumina, contributing to the development and support of Java, C#, and SQL software for manufacturing and customer needs. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to define new software requirements and ensure the software portfolio meets the highest standards throughout the Illumina Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Key Responsibilities: - Support the DNA BeadChip software portfolio, including developing new features and enhancements. - Ensure software security by addressing infosec vulnerabilities and staying updated on the latest Microsoft or Java technology updates. - Tackle complex technical issues, providing day-to-day operational support, and investigating and resolving problems with internal customers. - Offer high-priority after-hours production support when necessary. Qualifications Required: - Aptitude for helping and collaborating with end-users and stakeholders. - Strong troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency in Java or C#. - Experience with SQL and RDBMS. - Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages is highly valued. - Knowledge of client-side MVC Frameworks like Angular is beneficial. - Experience with Rancher and Kubernetes is advantageous. - Familiarity with source control, build, and CI/CD practices and tools such as GIT, Maven, and TeamCity. - Effective prioritization of work tasks. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Curiosity, attention to detail, and analytical mindset with a quick learning ability. - Customer-focused, team-oriented, and self-motivated with a sense of ownership towards assigned tasks. - Experience in Application Management Service (AMS) is a plus. - Experience in the manufacturing, life sciences, or biotechnology industry is an added advantage.
