As a Software Developer at Illumina, you will be contributing to expanding access to genomic technology for billions of people worldwide, thus playing a crucial role in transforming human health through disease detection and treatment. Your responsibilities will involve collaborating with a diverse team of professionals, including scientists, process engineers, IT administrators, and data specialists, to define new software requirements while enhancing your technical skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support the DNA BeadChip software portfolio throughout the Illumina Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). - Collaborate with internal teams to develop new software features and enhancements. - Enhance software security against information security vulnerabilities and stay updated on the latest Microsoft or Java technology trends. - Solve complex problems requiring analysis of various factors. - Provide technical guidance, generate reports, and engage in cross-functional tasks for day-to-day operations. - Investigate and resolve technical issues for internal customers. - Offer high-priority after-hours production support when necessary. **Qualifications Required:** - Aptitude for collaborating with end-users and stakeholders. - Demonstrated troubleshooting skills. - Proficiency in Java or C#. - Proficiency in SQL and RDBMS. - Familiarity with Python, R, or other programming languages is highly valued. - Experience with client-side MVC Frameworks (e.g., Angular) is beneficial. - Familiarity with Rancher and Kubernetes is advantageous. - Proficiency in source control, build, and CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., GIT, Maven, TeamCity). - Effective prioritization of tasks. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Detail-oriented, analytical, and curious with a rapid learning ability. - Customer-focused, team-oriented, and self-motivated with a sense of ownership. - Experience in Application Management Service (AMS) is a plus. - Experience in the manufacturing/life sciences/biotechnology industry is a plus. **Additional Company Details:** Illumina is dedicated to realizing health equity by enabling life-changing discoveries that impact human health globally.
