Role Overview: As a software engineer at Google Cloud, you will be part of a dynamic team developing cutting-edge technologies that impact billions of users worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Own and lead key project deliverables by collaborating with internal teams and external vendors across different locations. - Develop, build, and deploy applications using various platforms and technologies such as Java and BigQuery, working closely with analysts to translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Design, develop, and manage data transformation pipelines to create financial data products from diverse data sources using the BigQuery technology stack. - Adhere to best development practices, including technical design, solution development, system configuration, test documentation, issue resolution, and writing clean and modular code. - Architect innovative solutions to automate and scale business systems, providing guidance on architecture, design, build, and support activities for enterprise software platforms with a focus on excellence, performance, and security. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. - 8 years of experience in software development. - 5 years of experience testing and launching software products. - 3 years of experience with software design and architecture. - Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (preferred). - 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. - 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams. - 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization involving cross-functional projects. - Experience with data storage, data governance, and data modeling. - Experience with finance systems or large data processing.
