Staff Software Engineer (Backend)

As a Staff Software Engineer at Zepto, you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Tech Leadership team and lead end-to-end development processes. Your role will involve writing maintainable, scalable, and efficient code, as well as designing and architecting technical solutions for the business problems of a large ecommerce portal. Collaboration within a cross-functional team throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. You will be expected to adhere to coding standards, participate in unit testing, engage in code reviews, and ensure timely releases in line with set deadlines. The ideal candidate for this role should possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in developing large-scale applications or products. A proactive and self-driven attitude, coupled with a focus on operational excellence and the ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations, will be key to success in this position. Strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in data structures and algorithms, and a good grasp of RDBMS, NoSQL, Messaging, and Caching technologies are essential requirements for this role.
