Staff Nurse

Job Summary:

A Staff Nurse provides high-quality nursing care to patients, supports physicians and healthcare teams in treatment and recovery, and ensures adherence to hospital policies, safety standards, and ethical practices. The nurse plays a vital role in patient assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care according to prescribed medical and nursing plans.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care on a daily basis.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and record patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and progress.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and reports.
• Assist doctors during medical examinations and procedures.
• Ensure infection control and maintain a clean, safe patient environment.
• Educate patients and families about care, recovery, and health maintenance.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and perform basic life support (BLS) or advanced life support (ACLS) as required.
• Maintain stock of medicines, medical supplies, and nursing equipment.
• Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Adhere to hospital policies, professional standards, and confidentiality norms.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
• License: Registered Nurse (RN) with State Nursing Council
• Experience: 0–3 years (freshers or experienced nurses depending on the role)
• Skills:
• Strong clinical and observational skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered care
• Good communication and teamwork abilities
• Knowledge of infection control and hospital protocols
• Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently

Work Environment:

• Hospital wards, ICUs, operation theatres, or outpatient departments
• May involve shift duties (day/night) and on-call responsibilities
• Physically active role requiring standing, moving, and patient handling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
