JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SCHOOL HEALTH NURSE

Phoenix Business Consulting is seeking a qualified School Health Nurse to work in a school setup, providing on-site healthcare support, emergency care, and promoting student well-being through preventive and promotive health practices.

DESCRIPTION CANDIDATE PROFILE

The ideal candidate should be a licensed nursing professional who can work independently in a school environment. The candidate must be calm, approachable, and confident in handling school health emergencies. Strong communication and documentation skills, along with a student-centered approach, are essential.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution
• Registered with the State Nursing Council (valid nursing license)
• 1 to 2 years of relevant clinical experience (preferably with children or in school setups)
• Basic understanding of paediatric health, school health programs, and emergency protocols

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Ability to work independently and manage the school infirmary confidently.
• Sound knowledge of Medication Actions, administration and emergency management protocols.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong ability to maintain and update health records and reporting systems.
• Familiarity with organizing and supporting periodic health check-ups.
• Capability to assist in executing school-level health policies and awareness drives.
