Staff Nurse

Job Description

Job Summary The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in accordance with medical and nursing protocols. The role involves assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, and maintaining medical records. Key Responsibilities : Provide direct nursing care to patients based on established clinical standards. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care. Assist in diagnostic tests, sample collection, and procedures. Support patients and families by providing emotional and psychological support. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and patient safety guidelines. Participate in shift handovers, case discussions, and care planning. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and patient areas. Attend training sessions and workshops to maintain competency and licensure. Qualifications : Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (GNM/BSc Nursing). Valid Nursing Registration. Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting. Skills & Competencies : Strong clinical and observational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Compassionate, patient-centered approach. Ability to work in high-pressure environments. Proficiency in using hospital management systems and electronic medical records (EMRs).
