Staff Nurse

Key Responsibilities:Patient Care:

• Provide direct nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including ventilated and high-dependency patients.
• Monitor vital signs, oxygen saturation, and response to treatments.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and nutrition as prescribed.
• Assist with neonatal resuscitation and other emergency procedures.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Implement and follow care plans and protocols specific to neonatal patients.

Monitoring and Assessment:

• Conduct continuous assessment of neonates for changes in condition.
• Report critical findings promptly to the neonatologist or pediatrician.
• Assist in diagnostic procedures like blood sampling, heel pricks, etc.

Family Support and Communication:

• Provide emotional support and education to parents and families regarding the care of their newborn.
• Involve parents in care activities as appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and compassionately about the infant’s condition and progress.

Team Collaboration:

• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic care.
• Participate in handover reports and care plan meetings.
• Adhere to infection control and hospital safety protocols.

Equipment and Maintenance:

• Operate and monitor neonatal equipment such as incubators, ventilators, phototherapy units, infusion pumps, etc.
• Ensure all equipment is clean, functioning properly, and reported for maintenance when needed.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed nursing records, including care provided, medications administered, and patient responses.
• Ensure accurate documentation in line with hospital policies and legal standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Registered Nurse with State Nursing Council.
• NICU experience preferred (1-2 years minimum).
• Training in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is an advantage.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
