Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse with 2 to 7 years of experience to provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care for ophthalmic patients in our hospital. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Roles and Responsibility

Provide comprehensive nursing care to inpatients in the eye hospital ward.
Monitor vital signs, vision status, and post-surgical recovery of patients.
Administer medications, eye drops, and injections as prescribed by doctors.
Assist doctors during ward rounds and minor procedures.
Educate patients and attendants on post-discharge care and medication usage.
Maintain accurate nursing notes, charts, and patient records.
Ensure infection control, ward hygiene, and biomedical waste management.
Coordinate with OT, pharmacy, and other departments for patient care.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in nursing, preferably in an ophthalmic hospital setting.
Strong knowledge of nursing protocols, infection control, and clinical procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with medical equipment and technology used in ophthalmic surgery.
