Job Description – Registered Nurse (Tamil Nadu Registered Nurse)

Position: Registered Nurse (RN)
Registration: Tamil Nadu Nursing Council (TNMC) – Mandatory
Department: OPD / IP / Ward / ICU (as assigned)
Reports To: Nursing Supervisor / Medical Officer

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, compassionate, and quality nursing care to patients in accordance with hospital policies and Tamil Nadu Nursing Council standards. The role includes patient care, clinical support, documentation, and coordination with doctors and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
• Monitor vital signs and patient condition regularly
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by doctors
• Assist doctors during procedures and examinations
• Maintain accurate nursing records and patient documentation
• Provide patient education and counseling
• Ensure infection control and patient safety practices
• Prepare and maintain ward/ICU equipment and supplies
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies
• Follow hospital policies, protocols, and ethical standards

Qualifications

• GNM / B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing
• Must be registered with Tamil Nadu Nursing Council (TNMC)
• Valid RN Registration number required

Experience

• 1–3 years of hospital experience preferred
• Freshers may apply (training will be provided)

Skills Required

• Strong clinical and patient care skills
• Good communication skills (Tamil & basic English)
• Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
• Compassionate and professional attitude
• Teamwork and time management skills

Shift Timings

• Morning / Evening / Night shifts (rotational)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
