Staff Engineer Software

Role Overview: As a Software Engineer at Palo Alto Networks, you will be a part of the Prisma Access team, working on designing, developing, and delivering next-generation technologies to ensure secure cloud access. Your role will involve collaborating with various teams, implementing scalable software features, optimizing systems software, and troubleshooting customer issues. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge solutions and work towards achieving a common goal with a focus on innovation and problem-solving. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and implement highly scalable software features and infrastructure for cloud-native deployment - Collaborate with different development and quality assurance groups to ensure the best quality output - Profile, optimize, and tune systems software for efficient cloud operation - Troubleshoot customer issues in coordination with DevOps and Technical Support teams - Apply PanOS features on Prisma Access in collaboration with other software development teams Qualifications Required: - 3-5 years of experience in developing data-plane applications - Proficiency in C/C++ programming languages, with a strong emphasis on Linux - Strong knowledge of Data structures, Algorithms, and debugging - Experience with building cloud applications and developing modules based on the network stack - Familiarity with OSI and TCP/IP models L4 - L7 and hands-on programming experience in Python and Go (nice to have) - In-depth understanding of Operating System principles, networking concepts, and TCP/IP stack - Exposure to building Microservices and strong collaboration and communication skills - Solid foundation in design, data structures, algorithms, analytical, and debugging skills Please note that all information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.,
