Staff Engineer - Database Architecture

As a Staff Engineer (SE) at our dynamic engineering team in Hyderabad, your role will involve designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Backend applications using Java and golang. Your experience in product-based/e-commerce platforms will be highly valuable for our team. **Responsibilities:** - Design and implement database architectures to meet business requirements. - Analyze, develop, and optimize database structures, schemas, and models. - Perform data migration, transformation, and integration tasks. - Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Monitor database performance and implement optimization strategies. - Collaborate with application developers for database design and queries. - Conduct regular database backups and disaster recovery planning. - Stay updated on database technologies, recommending improvements. - Mentor and guide junior database engineers on best practices. **Requirements:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred. - Proven experience as a Database Architect or similar role. - Strong proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL databases. - Extensive knowledge of database design, data modeling, and ETL processes. - Familiarity with cloud database solutions (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database). - Experience in database performance tuning and optimization. - Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills. - Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark). - Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and tools. - Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for database management.
