Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Design & develop products using 3D CAD tools - UG NX/CATIA , ensuring adherence to DFM/DFA principles.
Develop concepts from initial sketches to final 3D & 2D Drawings
Translate customer and OEM specifications into feasible design solutions.
Coordinate prototype build, design validation, and durability testing.
Support VA/VE activities for weight and cost optimization without compromising comfort and safety.
Perform DFMEA, DVP preparation, and design validation support.
Conduct design reviews at various stages to ensure quality and manufacturability.
Prepare and check engineering drawings, BOMs, and release documentation.
Manage Level BOM generation and ensure consistency with ERP/MRP systems.
Work closely with manufacturing, quality, testing, and purchasing teams during development.
Support suppliers and toolmakers with design inputs during part development.
Handle multiple projects with defined timelines and deliverables.
Participate in customer design reviews and ensure timely implementation of feedback.
Identify opportunities for VA/VE and cost optimization through design improvement.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in product design and development

Qualification & Experience:

B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Industrial Design Engineering.
15-18 years of hands-on experience in automotive or off-road seating design and development.
Proficiency in CATIA V5 / NX and PLM tools (Teamcenter, Enovia, etc.).
Strong understanding of seat structure, trim, mechanisms, suspension systems, and ergonomics.
Exposure to APQP, DFMEA, PPAP, and ECN processes.
Should have knowledge of Indian and European standards related to seating system
