SRE Elasticsearch Administrator

Role Overview: As an SRE Elasticsearch Administrator at Persistent, you will be responsible for evaluating the performance of Elasticsearch and Splunk clusters, planning changes for high-load events, applying security fixes, testing upgrades, and enhancing monitoring and alert infrastructure. You will also be maintaining various parts of the data pipeline and optimizing cost-vs-performance. Key Responsibilities: - Maintain Elasticsearch and Splunk clusters - Evaluate and plan for upcoming high-load events - Apply security fixes and perform incremental upgrades - Extend and improve monitoring and alert infrastructure - Maintain other parts of the data pipeline - Optimize cost-vs-performance position - Automate tasks using declarative tools and scripting mechanisms - Work with a variety of infrastructure types and operations teams - Build effective partnerships across Product, Engineering, and Operations teams - Participate in an on-call rotation and address escalated issues promptly Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline - Expertise in Elasticsearch cluster administration - Familiarity with Splunk cluster administration - Strong knowledge in provisioning and Configuration Management tools - Experience in building Automations and Infrastructure as Code - Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools - Ability to troubleshoot effectively - Experience with Docker and Kubernetes - Knowledge of scripting languages and CI/CD tools Additional Details: Persistent Ltd. promotes a values-driven, people-centric, and inclusive work environment.
