Sr. Technical Functional Analyst II

Role Overview: As a Sr Technical Functional Analyst at MetLife, you will play a crucial role in the Group Disability Organization by providing expertise during client engagement to deliver solutions in the Disability and Absence space. You will collaborate closely with a diverse team to deliver complex solutions for internal and external US Group Benefits Business initiatives. Your responsibilities will involve providing analysis to complex, cross-team strategic technology initiatives and acting as the primary consultant for eliciting stakeholder needs. Key Responsibilities: - Lead discovery sessions to observe, document, and validate business processes, capturing key insights. - Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions/COTS/SaaS. - Elicit, analyze, and document functional requirements and rules. - Participate in backlog prioritization/grooming. - Create user stories and wireframes to conceptualize future states for user experience and define acceptance criteria. - Provide functional and configuration support for a specific COTS/SaaS. - Lead operational and production support, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors degree in computer science, Business, or a related discipline. - 5-7 years of experience in Information technology as a BSA. - Strong verbal and written communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and experience working in Agile and/or Dev Ops environments. - SAFe for Teams or SAFe Scrum Master Certification (SSM) is required. - Preferred experience in the Insurance domain, working with data flow diagrams, data modeling, process modeling, and Service Oriented Architecture.
