Sr Support System Engineer ( Bangalore locals preferred )

Job Description

Bachelors degree in technical discipline with at least seven years professional experience in network, systems, or IT Infrastructure Engineering. Equivalent experience and or certifications will be considered as well. Demonstrates a proactive and self-starting work style with a strong sense of urgency; capable of making independent decisions while adhering to established best practices. Self-motivated and adept at independently prioritizing and managing multiple client issues simultaneously. Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Proficient in diagnosing 'root causes' rather than treating symptoms, with the ability to anticipate the impact on additional processes and systems. Hands-on experience in understanding and managing client-server and microservice-style software stacks. Expertise in working with on-prem datacenters, cloud infrastructure, including AWS and Azure platforms. Experience implementing and administering with cisco switches and firewalls. Advanced grasp of layer 3-7 networking concepts & common protocols. Hands on experience of VMware administration and SAN configuration. Experience developing automation in multiple technologies including ansible, C#, Python, BASH, etc. Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and their associated tools. Experience with containerization and associated platforms. Experience with AWS EKS, and Azure Kubernetes Service. Experience with DKIM and DEMARC. Proficient in Rabbit MQ administration and configuration. Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog for system performance analysis. In-depth knowledge of Linux and Windows server environments. Strong understanding of Linux Operating Systems, specifically ubuntu. Understanding and experience with Windows Server clustering and administration. Experience in certificate management and patching procedures. Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and migrating resources from On-Prem data centers to the cloud. Experience deploying and supporting client-server and microservice-style software stacks. Hands-on experience with deployment tools like Rancher, Helm charts, and ArgoCD. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and network configurations. Proficiency in configuration management tools such as Ansible and Terraform in cloud environments. Experience with ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and OpenSearch for log analysis and search. Experience in process automation through scripting and infrastructure as code. Passionate about automation, troubleshooting and solving challenging problems. Works cross-functionally with other teams on improvements to existing infrastructure to increase system stability and performance.
