Sr. Structural Engineer

As a Mechanical Structural Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in structural design, finite element analysis (FEA), and assessment of load-bearing structures to contribute to various projects in the oil and gas industry. Holding an M-Tech in Structural Engineering and having a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience, you will be accountable for ensuring the integrity and compliance of mechanical structures with industry standards and safety regulations. Your responsibilities will include performing design, analysis, and validation of mechanical structural components using advanced engineering principles. By leveraging FEA software such as ANSYS and Abaqus, you will conduct stress, strain, and vibration analysis to ensure optimal performance under operational loads. Designing and evaluating load-bearing structures such as platforms, frames, and supports will be crucial to meet strength, stability, and fatigue resistance requirements in the oil and gas sector. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients, you will provide technical support and ensure seamless integration of structural designs. Moreover, material selection, code compliance, quality assurance, risk assessment, project management, and mentorship of junior engineers will be integral parts of your role. Ideal candidates will possess an M-Tech in Structural Engineering, at least 5 years of experience in structural engineering within the oil and gas industry, proficiency in structural design and FEA, expertise in FEA software tools, familiarity with industry codes and standards, and strong problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, are essential. Preferred qualifications include prior experience with offshore structures or heavy lifting equipment, knowledge of software tools like AutoCAD and SolidWorks, and familiarity with project management software. Relevant certifications such as Chartered Engineer or PE are advantageous. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including leave encashment and paid sick time. The job requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in the oil & gas sector and structural engineering. The preferred work location is in Kozhikode, Kerala, with in-person attendance.
