Sr Staff Thermal Engineer

Role Overview: Enphase Energy, a global energy technology company, is seeking a Staff Engineer- Thermal to join their team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for the thermal and structural design of electromechanical, battery products, and power electronics. You will work with a team of mechanical engineers to develop cutting-edge solar power microinverters, energy storage systems, and more. Your work will involve product qualification testing, development of outdoor products meeting Ingress Protection (IP) ratings, and collaboration with global teams and labs for product validation. Key Responsibilities: - Develop thermal and structural design solutions and collaborate with component suppliers - Prepare test plans for the validation of analysis solutions and conduct product qualification testing - Design thermo-mechanical and structural components from concept to final product - Interact with UL and other labs for conducting experiments related to solar products - Complete documentation for simulation design, analysis, and testing results Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering - 8+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6+ years with a Master's degree in product development - Experience in thermal design of inverters and battery energy storage systems preferred - Proficiency in analysis tools such as Simcenter Flotherm, Solidworks Flow simulation, ANSYS Fluent, etc. - Strong fundamentals in heat transfer, fluid flow, and CFD concepts - Knowledge of product standards like IEC, UL, NEMA, and mechanical design standards - Experience in thermal and structural mechanical design from concept to final product - Ability to think laterally, solve unique problems, and investigate product failures - Good communication and documentation skills ,
