Title: Senior Engineer - Power Electronics Position Vacant: 1 Desirable Experience: 5-8 Years Location: Coimbatore Qualification: BE EEE/ECE Skill Set: - Experience: 8 to 10 years in the field of Power Electronics - Required Skill: Leading the design activity of high power Battery Chargers, DC-DC Converters, Rectifiers, SMPS, OP-AMP, and Motor Drivers. Mandatory magnetic design of converter components. - Thorough understanding of Analog circuit design, Thermal modeling of power electronic devices, heat sink design/calculation, EMI and EMC. - Experience in Schematic design, Simulation/analysis, PCB layout guidance/verification, Prototype testing preferred. - Developing Electronics hardware from conceptualization to prototype. Conducting alternate design analysis, POC evaluations, and documentation. - Detailed design documentation considering EMI/EMC, Component Tolerance, de-rating calculations. - Validating design for high reliability and robustness, and conducting Functional and Compliance Testing. - Proficiency in using Multimeter, Oscilloscope, Network analyzer, and power supplies. Required Qualifications: - B.Tech/B.E, M.Tech/M.E, or PhD in Mechanical/Thermal/Aerospace Engineering degrees in physics, materials science, or electrical engineering, or any branches (with a focus on thermal management), can also be relevant if the incumbent has experience in thermal analysis and modeling. - 3+ years of professional experience in thermal design and analysis of complex engineering systems. - Strong understanding of different heat transfer modes, i.e., conduction, convection, radiation. - Understanding of thermal management and implementation techniques. - Proficiency in working with thermal analysis software packages, i.e., NASTRAN, ESTRAN, IDEAS, Thermal Desktop, Ansys, NX Space Systems Thermal, or any equivalent. Preferred Skills: - Experience with thermal modeling, simulation, and validation through qualification tests, i.e., thermal vacuum, thermal cycling, etc. - Understanding of thermal design for electronic packages and avionics, including thermal properties of materials and space environment considerations. - Strong first principles thinking with a deep understanding of thermal design, analysis, implementation, and testing. - Familiarity with the unique challenges of the space environment and a basic understanding of orbital mechanics. - Experience in testing your own thermal designs.
