Sr. Software Platform Engineer I

The Full Stack Software Engineer position at MetLife offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the digital and AI transformation journey of the company. As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining cloud native/modern software solutions that drive business results. Key Responsibilities: - Adopt Agile ways of working in the software delivery lifecycle and continuously learn new methods and technologies. - Be a hands-on engineer in the technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technologies. - Work on detailed technical design and development of applications/platforms, partnering with Product owner in planning. - Develop using multiple technology stack capabilities (Front/Back End, API, Database Management, Hosting technologies, etc.). - Review solution designs and related code, investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests. - Implement technology best practices, architecture, and technology stack, including cloud, AI/Data, and other emerging technologies. Candidate Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent Experience: - Minimum 3 years of experience in development using multiple technology stack capabilities to drive digital transformation in financial services or technology domain. - Hands-on experience in developing applications using modern technology stack and patterns. - Experience in developing mission-critical applications in complex and regulated environments will be an added advantage. - Proficiency in software development lifecycle, including CI/CD, test-driven development, domain-driven design, and Agile ways of working. Skills and Competencies: - Effective communication skills to ensure results are achieved. - Proven track record of collaborating in a global and multi-cultural environment. - Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a can-do attitude.
