Sr. Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer at Xactly, you will be part of a dynamic team that is a leader in Sales Performance Management Solutions. You will play a crucial role in enhancing go-to-market outcomes through increased collaboration, greater efficiencies, and connecting data from all critical functions of the revenue lifecycle on a single platform. To excel in this role, you should have a Master's degree plus 5 years or a Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in web application development and architecture. Your expertise should include extensive use of open-source software libraries, strong experience in at least one MVC architecture, solid hands-on experience with Java, and proficiency in SQL databases such as Oracle, MySQL, and Postgres. Additionally, you should have a strong background in Springboot and REST Services, with a proven track record of building continuous integration and deployment infrastructure for microservices. It is essential to demonstrate a strong commitment to good engineering discipline and process, including code reviews and delivering unit tests in conjunction with feature delivery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are a must, along with the ability to work independently as well as in teams. Prior experience in building modular, common, and scalable services is a plus, as well as familiarity with agile development processes and deployment automation tools. Within the first month, you will familiarize yourself with the code base, development processes, and deployments. You will also gain an understanding of the product to ensure a seamless customer experience. By three months, you will actively contribute to the overall code base, with your PRs approved and deployed to production. You will also play a role in the design process. Over the next six months, you will work more autonomously, collaborating closely with the product team to troubleshoot issues and introduce new ideas to enhance product development. Within a year, you will become a UI expert for your project, taking full ownership of features and processes within the product.
