Description
You will be responsible for refining ambiguous questions and generating new hypotheses about the product through a deep understanding of the data, customers, and business. Designing experiments and interpreting the results to draw detailed and impactful conclusions will also be a key aspect of your role. You will define how our teams measure success by developing Key Performance Indicators and other user/business metrics in close partnership with Product and other subject areas such as engineering, operations, and marketing. Collaboration with applied scientists and engineers to build and improve the availability, integrity, accuracy, and reliability of data logging and data pipelines will be essential. Additionally, you will develop data-driven business insights and work with cross-functional partners to find opportunities and recommend prioritization of product, growth, and optimization initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should have an undergraduate and/or graduate degree in Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other quantitative fields. With at least 6 years of experience as a Product Analyst, Sr. Data Analyst, or in other data analysis-focused functions, you should possess an excellent understanding of statistical principles supported by an academic foundation. Advanced SQL expertise and experience with either Python or R for data analysis are required. You should also have significant experience in setting up and evaluating complex experiments, along with a proven track record of wrangling large datasets, extracting insights, and summarizing learnings. Proficiency in Excel and some dashboarding/data visualization tools like Tableau, Mixpanel, or Looker is preferred. Preferred qualifications include a proven aptitude for Data Storytelling and Root Cause Analysis using data, the ability to learn and adapt to new methodologies for data collection and analysis, and delivering on tight timelines while prioritizing multiple tasks with attention to quality and detail. You should be able to work in a self-guided manner, mentor, coach, and develop junior team members, and possess superb communication and organizational skills.,
