Role Overview

Senior SAP BW Developer with strong BODS (BusinessObjects Data Services)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the

  data migration and transformation efforts

  from SAP BW on HANA to

  SAP BW/4HANA

  , ensuring minimal downtime and high data accuracy.
• Design and implement

  data models, composite providers, ADSOs, and transformations

  aligned with the BW/4HANA architecture.
• Develop and optimize

  ETL processes using SAP BODS

  , including data extraction, cleansing, mapping, and loading for Supply Chain (SCM), Logistics, and Manufacturing data domains.
• Collaborate with

  functional teams (MM, PP, SD, APO, IBP)

  to understand data requirements and business logic.
• Perform

  data validation, reconciliation, and performance tuning

  for data flows and reports.
• Support integration with

  S/4HANA, ECC, external systems, and third-party data sources

  through BODS or other middleware.
• Participate in

  system testing, cutover, and post-migration support

  phases.
• Document technical designs, migration scripts, and best practices.
• Provide

  technical guidance and mentorship

  to junior developers on BW and BODS development standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience in

  SAP BW

  , with at least 3+ years on

  SAP BW/4HANA

  .
• 5+ years of experience with

  SAP BODS

  (ETL development, data quality, and performance optimization).
• Proven expertise in

  Supply Chain / Logistics data models

  (MM, SD, PP, APO, IBP, etc.).
• Strong understanding of

  BW modeling techniques

  (ADSO, Composite Provider, Open ODS View, Info Objects, transformations).
• Hands-on experience in

  migration projects from BW on HANA to BW/4HANA

  .
• Solid knowledge of

  data extraction from SAP and non-SAP sources

  using ODP, CDS Views, and BODS.
• Familiarity with

  SAP HANA SQL scripting, data provisioning, and performance tuning

  .
• Understanding of

  S/4HANA data structures

  and their impact on BW/4HANA.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional global team.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP BW/4HANA certification.
• Experience in

  Supply Chain Analytics or Planning

  projects.
• Experience with

  Agile delivery models and DevOps pipelines

  (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
