In this role, as a Network Innovation & Automation Lead you will drive the development and delivery of automated network technology solutions supporting global business operations. As a key member of the Global Enterprise Network Services (ENS) team, this role will lead transformative initiatives, develop automation frameworks, and integrate cutting-edge technologies to enhance network efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts, playbooks, and cookbooks to streamline network operations and bulk modifications.
Lead the development of a scalable network automation platform and integrate it into the broader IaC framework.
Enhance database functionality and enable efficient data analysis through scripting and automation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, product owners, and vendors to identify automation opportunities and deliver integrated solutions.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation in network automation tools, processes, and capabilities.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize automated processes to ensure high performance and reliability.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on automation best practices.
Contribute to the mid- and long-term technology roadmap for network services.
Ensure all solutions are designed with a security-first mindset and comply with global standards and regulations.
Manage multiple concurrent projects and workstreams, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
Work effectively within a global, multicultural environment, leveraging both internal and external service partners
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
Wide experience in IT infrastructure, with a focus on LAN, WAN, and network security technologies.
Proven experience in developing software applications and automation solutions within the networking domain.
Expertise in Ansible and Terraform, including plugin/module development.
Expert in working with CISCO, Juniper, and Palo Alto technologies.
Strong understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles and practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and database query design (e.g., ServiceNow).
Experience managing or contributing to mid-to-large scale network transformation projects.
Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
Master's degree in a relevant field.
Enterprise Networking Certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate) would be an added advantage
Exposure to automation, gen AI, or chatbot tools.
