Sr. Power Systems Engineer

Role Overview: As a Senior Power Systems Engineer at AspenTech, you will play a crucial role in designing, integrating, testing, and commissioning hardware and software requirements for customer systems. Your impact will be significant as you work on advanced control systems for electric utilities, evaluate project requirements, and ensure effective use and maintenance of power system applications. Your responsibilities will also include customer training, creating project documentation, and staying updated with industry standards and trends. Key Responsibilities: - Design, plan, integrate, test, and commission hardware and software requirements on customer systems. - Design, integrate, test, and commission advanced control systems for electric utilities. - Evaluate contract specifications and define project requirements. - Communicate detailed requirements to internal departments. - Work directly with customers and remote engineering team members to understand requirements and communicate project plans. - Perform customer training and consult on power system modeling. - Assist in creating project and product documentation. - Perform unit testing and tuning to ensure power system applications meet requirements. - Support live customer systems using knowledge of power systems and application functionality. - Stay up to date with the latest industry standards and trends. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, Telecommunication, or equivalent experience. - Experienced in project implementation or operational experience, preferably in the utility industry. - Willingness to travel to domestic and international customer sites. - Experience with electrical utility control systems or working in utility operations or engineering support. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of Business Analysis and Change Management concepts. - Strong commitment to providing superior customer service.,
