Sr. Node.JS Developer

Role Overview: You will be part of the Backend dream team responsible for architecting and building high-performance, large-scale distributed backend services that power real-time gaming experiences. Your role will involve designing and developing innovative, user-facing features, taking ownership of key platform components, improving system efficiency, collaborating with Product and Design teams, managing projects end-to-end, and mentoring the engineering team. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and build high-performance, large-scale distributed backend services for real-time gaming experiences. - Design and develop user-facing features that impact millions of users. - Take ownership of key platform components, driving technical excellence and creative solutions. - Continuously improve system efficiency, scalability, reliability, and security. - Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to bring features to life with precision and performance. - Manage projects end-to-end, juggling priorities, deadlines, and deliverables effectively. - Mentor and inspire the engineering team, contributing to a culture of excellence. Qualifications Required: - 4.5+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js, supported by a strong computer science foundation. - 2+ years of expertise in real-time communication using Socket.io/WebSockets. - Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and system design principles. - Advanced understanding of the Node.js ecosystem, proficiency in TypeScript, Redis, and RPC protocols. - Strong command over SQL and NoSQL databases. - Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Understanding of distributed systems, their quirks, scale, concurrency, and ensuring their robustness. - Bonus points for experience in other programming languages or fast-paced startup environments. - Clear communicator, great collaborator, proactive problem solver who drives results.,
