Sr. Merchandiser (Fashion | Exposure to USA Markets | Kids Wear)

As a Sr. Merchandiser at our leading global apparel sourcing company based in Gurgaon, you will play a crucial role in coordinating with US buyers to ensure seamless communication throughout the order lifecycle. Your primary responsibilities will include managing product development, sampling, and approvals for kidswear styles while maintaining accurate costing across various components such as fabric, trims, CM, embellishments, and freight. Additionally, you will be responsible for handling tech packs, BOMs, and vendor communications to ensure timely execution and track production status to meet quality standards and timelines. Your role will involve liaising with factories and suppliers for order placements, coordinating with internal teams for issue resolution related to approvals, delays, or quality, and following up on documentation and shipping coordination as required. You will also be involved in assisting with internal reporting, T&A tracking, and updates to buyers, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to handle buyer queries independently. To be successful in this role, you should have a graduate or postgraduate degree with at least 6-9 years of experience in apparel merchandising, preferably in kidswear. Direct exposure to working with US clients or brands is essential, along with a good understanding of garment costing and order execution. Proficiency in Excel, email communication, and Microsoft Office tools is required, and you should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
