Role Overview: As a Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer at Global Engineering Solutions, you will play a crucial role in the expansion of our Design team globally. Your primary responsibility will be to create concept designs and take ownership of projects from start to finish, ensuring timely submission to customers. You will be required to conduct critical calculations, design validations, and tolerance analysis using Solidworks software. Additionally, you will provide support to customers during the development of machines and fixtures in the Toolroom or shop floor. Mentoring and guiding a team of Junior Design Engineers will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Create concept designs and see them through to final product designs. - Own projects and ensure timely submission to customers. - Conduct critical calculations, design validations, and tolerance analysis. - Provide support to customers during machine and fixture development. - Mentor and guide a team of Junior Design Engineers. - Report daily status of design and development to senior management. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams for optimized design solutions. - Conduct design reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives. - Support prototype development, testing, and validation phases. - Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, GD&T practices, and safety regulations. Qualifications Required: - DME / BE Mechanical / B.Tech qualification. - Minimum 3 years to maximum 4 years of experience. - Proficiency in Solidworks software. - Skillset in 3D modeling, drawings, BOM, concept design, product design, and good mechanical fundamentals. - Experience with sheet metal, structural drawings, welding symbols, GD&T, manufacturing processes, material selection, jigs & fixture design, BIW, and SPM design. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and project coordination skills.
