- Develop, implement, and continuously improve comprehensive safety policies, procedures, and protocols aligned with statutory requirements and Adani's safety culture for all ongoing and upcoming energy projects.
- Lead the safety management function across multiple projects, ensuring all activities meet or exceed regulatory compliance, internal standards, and best practices in health, safety, and environment (HSE).
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and gap analyses to identify potential hazards and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Champion proactive safety awareness campaigns and training programs tailored for project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to embed a safety-first mindset.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, contractors, and external agencies to align safety objectives with project goals, timelines, and quality benchmarks.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly, leading root cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, trends, and compliance status to senior leadership and relevant regulatory bodies, providing actionable insights and continuous improvement recommendations.
- Ensure the integration of environmental and occupational health considerations into the safety framework of projects.
- Oversee contractor safety management, including qualification, induction, monitoring, and evaluation to ensure contractors adhere to Adani's safety standards.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication on safety matters, supports employee engagement in safety initiatives, and promotes continuous learning and development.
- Represent the company in safety forums, regulatory inspections, and audits, ensuring transparent and effective communication of Adani's safety commitments.
- Drive the adoption of innovative safety technologies and digital tools that enhance monitoring, reporting, and risk management capabilities.
- Mentor and develop a high-performing safety team, providing guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities. - Contribute to emergency preparedness and response planning, ensuring teams are well-trained and equipped for incident management.
- Align safety strategies with Adani's broader sustainability and corporate social responsibility goals, reinforcing the company's commitment to responsible business practices.
Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and standards relevant to the Power/Energy sector.
- Expertise in safety risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.
- Proficiency in safety management software and digital safety tools.
- Familiarity with project management processes and interfaces with safety management.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction processes for safety implications.
- Competence in conducting safety audits, compliance checks, and preparing reports for regulatory bodies.
Non-Negotiable Skills
- Strong leadership in safety management and ability to drive safety culture transformation.

Experience
QUALIFICATIONS
12-16 years in Safety Management within Power/Energy industry, preferably with exposure to large-scale project environments and multidisciplinary teams.Education Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline. - Master's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or equivalent is preferred.
