Sr Manager - Corporate Legal

You will be joining an international telecommunications/commtech company that offers a wide range of services including international and domestic voice services, MPLS, Internet transit, VoIP, IoT, Mobility, CPaaS, CaaS, managed security, cloud, subsea cable capacity, and other cutting-edge commtech services. As a dynamic regulatory professional, your main responsibility will be to provide end-to-end support in two key focus areas within the Legal & Regulatory Affairs team. Your primary role will involve serving as the main regulatory contact for the Product Office, collaborating closely with Product, Network, Legal, and Technology teams. You will be required to offer regulatory risk assessments and compliance insights during product conceptualization, design, and launch phases. Additionally, you will advise on licensing requirements, statutory obligations, and service rollout standards, while also maintaining a product-specific regulatory tracker and risk matrix. Your expertise will be crucial in guiding the teams on OSP regulations, DoT guidelines, and ensuring adherence to them. Furthermore, you will be involved in managing regulatory and legal proceedings before regulatory bodies such as TRAI, DoT, TDSAT, and others. Your responsibilities will include reviewing commercial documents from a regulatory perspective, monitoring regulatory framework changes, and contributing to regulatory submissions and filings. It will also be essential for you to maintain internal documentation for OSP compliance, UL license requirements, and assist in audits or inspections. Your support will be needed in responding to RFPs, customer inquiries, and onboarding reviews from a regulatory viewpoint. To excel in this role, you must possess a strong understanding of Indian telecom regulations, licensing frameworks, and digital sector compliance requirements. Your ability to interpret legal obligations and apply them to business situations, particularly in product or technology contexts, will be crucial. Excellent drafting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills are essential, along with familiarity with regulatory bodies and procedures such as TRAI, DoT, and TDSAT. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to balance long-term strategic goals with day-to-day tasks are highly valued in this position.,
