Sr Lead NetApp Storage Engineer

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Develop and implement storage solutions using NetApp technologies that align with our business requirements and objectives. System Management: Manage and maintain NetApp storage systems, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure high availability and performance. Data Protection: Implement and manage data protection strategies, including backups, replication, and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard critical business data. Performance Optimization: Monitor storage performance and implement tuning measures to optimize system efficiency and reliability. Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning and forecasting to ensure sufficient storage resources are available to meet current and future demands. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of storage configurations, processes, and procedures. Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for storage-related issues, both during normal business hours and on-call as needed. Upgrades and Patches: Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and firmware updates to keep storage systems up-to-date with the latest features and security fixes. Training: Provide training and guidance to junior team members and other IT staff on storage technologies and best practices. Required Qualifications A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience with 10+ years of experience. Experience with DevOps tools and methodologies, such as CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Ansible, etc. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with automation tools and Infrastructure as Code, particularly Terraform. Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols. Familiarity with VMware. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
