Qualcomm India Private Limited is a leading technology innovator in the Engineering Group, specifically in the Hardware Engineering domain. As a Qualcomm Hardware Engineer, you will be involved in planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems, circuits, mechanical systems, Digital/Analog/RF/optical systems, equipment and packaging, test systems, FPGA, and/or DSP systems to develop cutting-edge, world-class products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to meet performance requirements and develop innovative solutions. Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with at least 3 years of Hardware Engineering experience, or - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of Hardware Engineering experience, or - PhD in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field with at least 1 year of Hardware Engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field. - 5+ years of Hardware Engineering experience. - 2+ years of experience in circuit design (digital, analog, RF). - 2+ years of experience in schematic capture and circuit simulation software. - 2+ years of experience with hardware design and measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF tools, etc. - 1+ year in a technical leadership role. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: - Utilize Hardware knowledge and experience to plan, optimize, verify, and test electronic systems and circuits. - Integrate features and functionality into hardware designs according to proposals or roadmaps. - Conduct complex simulations and analyses of designs for optimal power, performance, and area. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new requirements and incorporate the latest test solutions to improve yield, test time, and quality. - Evaluate and develop manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products, ensuring customer expectations are met. - Innovate, automate, and optimize to maximize productivity in critical materials, properties, and techniques. - Identify potential design flaws, compatibility issues, and compliance issues. - Write detailed technical documentation for Hardware projects. Level of Responsibility: - Work independently with minimal supervision. - Provide supervision/guidance to team members. - Decision-making may have an impact beyond the immediate work group. - Requires strong verbal and written communication skills for conveying information effectively. - Tasks require planning, problem-solving, and prioritization for effective completion.
