The Role We are currently looking for a Senior Instructional Designer to join our new in-house Instructional Design team. Responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of training courses using multiple delivery methods, including instructor led training (classes and webinars), self-paced web-based training and/or other learning and development support. Produce training targeted to meet client needs using a variety of adult instructional design techniques and innovative methods. This individual will have ownership of broad areas and learning programs including the responsibilities below: The Main Responsibilities Under general supervision, plans, organizes, and develops training curricula, materials, and programs to meet specific training needs. From a provided learning strategy, develop courses that are responsive to current learner and business needs, multiple skill levels, and learning theory. Using raw content provided by subject matter experts write scripts, storyboards, and design documents. Create assessments that align to course objectives. Coordinate, design, and develop multiple learning solutions using a variety of multimedia technologies and team resources to ensure learning materials are current and relevant to needs. Ensures writing is coherent, grammatically correct, and appropriate for the intended audience. Ensures directions for assignments and navigation are clear and appropriate for the intended audience. Assures all course components are complete and uploaded into LMS. Proactively identify improvement opportunities to enhance and optimize the learner experience Learns and applies new technologies to the design, development, and delivery of online learning, including audio, video, and animation. May lead efforts from initial design to implementation. What We Look For in a Candidate Experience designing complex, instructionally sound learning solutions using multiple delivery methods. Experience managing or coordinating multiple projects at one time. Expert with online training development tools like Articulate Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, etc. Expert with online publishing standards including SCORM/AICC. Expert with Microsoft Office products. Project Management experience in leading training development projects. Ability to work collaboratively and creatively in a deadline driven environment. Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience. 4 - 6 years of related experience.
