Sr. FX Artist

As a Sr. FX Artist at BOT VFX (India) Private Limited in the 3D Department, you will be responsible for creating CG effects such as fire, smoke, water, destruction, etc. You should have a minimum of 3 years of VFX experience or equivalent and be proficient in tools like Houdini, Maya, Phoenix, and Blender. Additionally, you must have experience with photo-real subject matter and possess a good sense of look development, timing, and quality. This position is on-site in Chennai. Your primary responsibilities will include creating CG elements and effects to integrate into live-action photoreal plates. You will primarily work with Maya, Phoenix, Houdini, Blender, and other tools to achieve the desired results. It is crucial to stay current with the latest technology for FX and CG, maintain productivity while meeting deadlines, and produce high-quality work. You will participate in dailies, collaborate with the team to solve problems, and learn new techniques to overcome shot challenges. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in Houdini, Maya, Photoshop, and Mudbox. Experience with other VFX areas such as modeling, texturing, animation, and lighting is a plus. You should also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in English, to effectively coordinate with the team, plan projects, and follow technical instructions. As a team player, you should be resourceful, innovative, and confident in handling challenging tasks. You must be detail-oriented, able to estimate time accurately for completion stages, and deliver work on time. You should be receptive to feedback from the team and supervisors, implementing suggestions effectively or proposing alternative solutions tactfully.
