Sr. FX Artist

As a CG FX Artist, you will be responsible for creating CG effects such as fire, smoke, water, destruction, etc. using tools like Houdini, Maya, Phoenix, and Blender. You should have a minimum of 2 years of VFX experience or equivalent. Your role will involve working on-site in Chennai and communicating in English about complex artistic and technical concepts. Key Responsibilities: - Create CG FX from an empty scene in Houdini or Maya. - Render and perform basic slap comp in Nuke. - Utilize experience with photo-real subject matter and demonstrate a good sense of look development, timing, and quality. - Work on integrating CG elements and FX into live action plates. - Stay updated on the latest technology for FX and CG. - Maintain productivity, meet deadlines, and produce high-quality work. - Participate in team problem solving and attend dailies. - Learn new techniques, solve shot problems, and implement suggestions from the team or supervisor. - Estimate time required for stages of completion and deliver timely results. Qualifications: - Proficiency in Houdini, Maya, and Photoshop. - Experience with other general areas of VFX such as modeling, texturing, animation, and lighting is a plus. - Fluent in English (written and verbal) for team coordination and technical design. - Ability to follow written technical instructions in English. - Strong communication skills, teamwork, and the ability to learn new processes easily. - Detail-oriented with the capability to follow tasks to completion.
