Job Description

As a Financial Business System Analyst at Illumina, you will play a vital role in supporting data-driven initiatives within the Global Commercial Finance analytics team. Your work will directly contribute to enabling strategic financial planning and decision-making processes by creating standard reports, conducting in-depth analysis, and developing forecasting models. Your key responsibilities will include creating accurate and timely quarterly/monthly financial reports, performing root-cause analysis to identify trends and opportunities, and supporting forecasting efforts using statistical and predictive analytics techniques. You will also be involved in developing and maintaining automation solutions such as Tableau dashboards, SQL queries, and Python scripts to streamline analytics processes. To excel in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 4-6 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a financial or commercial setting. Proficiency in Excel for tasks like pivot tables and VLOOKUP, as well as strong SQL and Python skills for data analysis, are essential. A solid grasp of basic statistics, experience with Tableau dashboards, and familiarity with SAP Analytics, TM1, or COGNOS will be advantageous.
