The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for facade projects, including materials, labor, and other resources. This role involves analyzing project specifications, coordinating with suppliers and subcontractors, and ensuring that all estimates align with project requirements and budget constraints. The ideal candidate should have experience in cost estimation within the construction or facade industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Estimation:

  Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for facade projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs. Analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements and scope.

• Bid Preparation:

  Develop and manage bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and pricing strategies. Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure the accuracy of bid proposals.

• Resource and Material Analysis:

  Evaluate and quantify the resources and materials needed for projects, ensuring estimates are comprehensive and accurate. Assess and incorporate potential cost-saving measures and alternative solutions where applicable.

• Project Coordination:

  Work closely with the design and engineering teams to understand project specifications and requirements. Coordinate with project managers to align estimates with project budgets and timelines.

• Cost Control and Reporting:

  Monitor project costs and compare them to estimates to identify and address discrepancies. Prepare and present cost reports and analyses to management, highlighting key cost factors and variations.

• Documentation and Record-Keeping:

  Maintain detailed records of estimates, including calculations, assumptions, and supporting documentation. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and readily accessible for review and audit purposes.

• Continuous Improvement:

  Identify opportunities for improving estimation processes and accuracy. Stay updated with industry trends and cost factors to enhance estimation practices.

Qualifications:

?Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

?Proven experience as an Estimation Engineer or in a similar role in the construction or facade industry.
