Sr Engineering Manager I AdTech

As a Sr. Engineering Manager at Target, you will lead an engineering team to build solutions for the AdTech platform in an agile environment. Your success in this role will depend on your strong problem-solving skills, innovative approach, technical leadership, and effective communication. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AdTech capabilities such as DSP, SSP, and Ad Servers for self-service advertising needs. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing the overall software development cycle, ensuring high-quality code for common assets and framework components - Building and leading a team of high-caliber software development engineers - Architecting and developing technical designs - Managing and executing project/agile plans - Resolving technology roadblocks and technical conflicts - Advocating for technologies, frameworks, and design patterns - Ensuring adherence to development and security standards Requirements for Software Development: - 8+ years of engineering experience with at least one full cycle implementation - Experience in database design, data structures, relational databases, BigData, and NoSQL storage - Experience in Architecture & Design of scalable data pipelines in BigData - 1-3 years of managing software development teams - Experience with medium to large scale systems - Experience with test-driven development and software test automation - Strong sense of ownership - Strong written and verbal communication skills Desired Qualifications: - 4-year degree or equivalent experience - Experience with Java, Groovy, Spring, UI, and Reporting/Visualization framework - Experience in Hadoop, Hive, MapReduce, Oozie, Spark, and Scala - Marketing Tech or Ad Tech experience with a focus on innovation - Contribution to the Open Source community is desirable - Extensive experience working in an agile environment Join Target as a Sr. Engineering Manager and be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals!,
