Job Description

As a Sr. Development Engineer at Magna, you will be responsible for the development of Glazing & Mirrors. Your key responsibilities will include: - Development & design know-how of Glazing (windshield, side door & tailgate glasses, quarter glass) & Mirrors (outer & inner) - Understanding of regulations & compliance in line with vision requirements - Initial Technical Evaluation of Suppliers and support during nominations - Cross-functional Collaboration with Design, manufacturing, QA, SQA & Supplier to meet cost & project timelines - Conducting component level testing & monitoring results/reports - Conducting and reviewing TKOs and collaborating with Cross functional teams during Sign-off of multiple requirements - Testing & Proto build: support prototype builds activities, conduct design reviews, address engineering changes based on physical testing and team feedback to verify performance and quality - Supplier Management: Engage with suppliers to ensure deliverables meet quality, timing, and cost targets, supporting purchasing, costing and supply chain teams as required - Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to design, manufacturing, and program timelines, escalating issues as needed - Having 7-10 years of experience in development of Glazing & Mirrors - Strong communication skills to analyze and deal with critical events during product development cycle Key Performance Indicators for this role include: - Ensuring timely completion of project phases Vs planned - Monitoring adherence to industry standards, regulations, functionality & Safety compliance - Document and Maintain records & coordinating Key points across Cross functions - Supporting and providing solutions during Field Issues Role Requirements: - Educational Qualification: B.E., in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering or Post Diploma / Diploma in Mechanical or Production or Industrial Engineering - Years Of Work Experience: 7.0 to 10.0 Years Critical Skill Sets (Technical): - Understanding of design, 2D drawings, DVP reports & coordination with teams - Awareness of vision requirements - Proficiency in data management and collaboration platforms to coordinate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams Critical Skill Sets (Behavioral): - Collaborative Mindset - Adaptability & Flexibility - Problem-solving approach - Effective Communication - Continuous Learning Approach Proficiency in languages: - English, Marathi & Hindi.
