Sr Data Anonymization Analyst

As a Senior Data Anonymization Analyst at data42, you will be a vital part of the Data Anonymization team, focusing on anonymizing data sets to enable secondary research on data lakes. Your role involves collaborating with other teams at data42 to ensure efficient and high-quality anonymization of data sets. Specifically, you will be responsible for anonymizing various types of data from clinical trials, including clinical raw and derived data, images, documents, and other unstructured data. Your tasks will include using software products to anonymize data sets and mitigating the risk of re-identification of personal data. You will also identify and classify direct and indirect identifiers, create reports, and support efficiency improvements in data anonymization while managing and maintaining data quality. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Data Anonymization activities for data42 - Collaborate with other Data Anonymization analysts, making anonymization decisions/recommendations as required - Communicate with stakeholders to ensure data anonymization and reporting meet quality requirements and deadlines - Build and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams, summarizing and discussing deliverable statuses - Ensure timely and quality anonymization and validation of datasets and outputs - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of programming software and industry requirements, attending meetings and trainings - Understand and ideate around the Risk-based anonymization strategy Key Qualifications: - Education in statistics, computer science, mathematics, life sciences, or related field - 4-5 years of experience in programming roles related to anonymization, preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare industries - Proficiency in SAS and commercially available anonymization applications - Knowledge of CDISC data structures and standard programs development and use - Understanding of Python language and familiarity with Databricks, Palantirs Foundry platforms - Openness to applying AI/LLMs approaches to data anonymization - Strong project management skills and ability to collaborate effectively in global matrix structures - Fluent in English, both oral and written Additional Company Details: Novartis is dedicated to helping people with diseases and their families through innovative science and a community of passionate individuals.
