Sr. Const Engineer - CHO Projects Civil

As a Civil Engineer in this role, you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: - Area grading and land development. - Studying the drawing and verifying the layout marking. - Coordinating with the surveyor to get the quantity estimate. - Coordinating with Testing Laboratory for establishing OMC, MDD for the soil sample. - Supervising the area grading, verifying the compaction, filling layer, and proper level of cutting activity. - Preparing requirements of enabling materials and Schedule of Quantity. - Studying plant layout, construction sequence, and project duration. - Establishing requirements of contractor resources. - Coordinating with the contractor and estimating the requirement of manpower and other resources. - Establishing the contractor's office/stores at the site. - Ensuring day-to-day execution; studying Project standards, specifications. - Ensuring proper stacking and storing of materials. - Validating BBS and ensuring proper rebar cutting, bending, and field binding. - Ensuring foundations and other civil activities are executed as per drawing. - Ensuring the surveyor's activity on day-to-day work like marking of coordinates, RL, etc. - Generating requests for civil construction materials and coordinating with Central Civil Group/batching plant for their availability. - Providing input to Lead for the requirement of Insert plate fabrication and anchor bolts requirements. - Verifying fabrication and fixing of the template for anchor bolt placing. - Informing the superior for raising SER in case any clash with other disciplines is envisaged. - Ensuring surface rendering and finishing for concrete and fireproof surface. Qualification Required: - Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering. Experience Required: - Degree in Civil Engineering with 10-12 years of experience or Diploma in Civil Engineering with 19-21 years of experience. Desirable Experience: - Experience in Refinery/Petrochemical/Similar Large size plant. Skills & Competencies: - General plant and equipment layout. - Area development concept. - Concrete technology. - Scaffolding, staging, and formwork safety. - Quality requirement of construction materials. - Basic surveying and leveling/g layout. - Safety precautions in excavation and substructure work. - Types of fireproofing materials. - Quality and Safety Procedures.,
