As a Procurement Specialist, your role involves checking technical requirements against vendor specifications, negotiating with vendors for optimal deals, exploring alternative vendors, and managing specific items or categories across manufacturing sites or projects. Your key responsibilities include: - Floating inquiries for critical items as per user requirements - Ensuring technical requirements align with vendor specifications - Conducting second-round negotiations with vendors - Coordinating with buying manager to finalize deals or closing deals within specified limits - Placing orders and updating SAP system accordingly - Timely addressing and resolving internal and external audit issues related to procurement - Providing support to buyers in issue resolution To excel in this role, you should possess: - Analytical mindset - Strong written and oral communication skills - Knowledge of equipment, processes, and maintenance activities - Commercial acumen The qualifications required for this position are a B.Tech/B.E degree with 6-9 years of experience in category sourcing and manufacturing.
