Sr Analyst (Pricing & Underwriting)

As a Senior Analyst in Acquisitions (Pricing & Underwriting) at Amherst, you will be a part of a vertically integrated real estate investment, development, and operating platform that offers solutions across the U.S. real estate capital stack. Amherst is headquartered in Austin, TX and New York, NY, with regional global offices located in India and Costa Rica. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Underwriting and locating investment opportunities for single-family assets using market comparables to determine accurate rent, value, and initial bid price - Underwriting each property build with high accuracy, including rent, capex, HOA, property taxes, and as-repaired values - Participating in the acquisition of single-family homes by tracking assets through various deal lifecycle phases - Applying market nuances in underwriting processes Desired Skills/Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree required, with a specialty focus in Real Estate or Finance being a plus - 3+ years of relevant experience in underwriting, brokerage, or other real estate-related disciplines - Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a high-intensity environment - Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and deliver high-quality work under tight time constraints - Desire to work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced team environment As an Amherst employee, you will be expected to embody the company's core values, including positive attitude, high integrity, agility in adapting to a dynamic environment, client-centricity, strong communication skills, teamwork, and a focus on execution and delivery.
