Sql Server Developer

Key Responsibilities

Development & Maintenance

• Design, code, and modify SQL Server packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and other database objects based on requirements.
• Update and enhance existing SQL Server packages and procedures as needed.
• Use structured coding methodologies to develop reusable and efficient code.

Performance Optimization

• Conduct performance tuning of SQL queries and SQL Server code to improve application performance.
• Optimize existing procedures and queries for better efficiency.

Testing & Deployment

• Perform unit testing and ensure the accuracy of developed solutions.
• Handle code migration to higher environments.

Data Analysis

• Analyze data and develop scripts to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data effectively.
• Conduct gap analysis by reviewing technical requirements and source data.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with business teams and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of database tuning, performance monitoring, and optimization techniques.
• Must have worked on MSSQL Server, MySQL, and other relational databases.
• Experience in query optimization, reporting tools, and data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ETL tools and processes.
• Hands on experience on Oracle is added advantage.

Soft Skills

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders effectively.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Awareness of design principles, architectural fundamentals, and performance engineering.
• Exposure to the banking domain is a significant advantage.
