SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA)

Location:

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases supporting the Aras Innovator PLM platform.
  
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, index optimization, statistics updates, and system health checks.
  
• Monitor and tune database performance, including query optimization and execution plan analysis.
  
• Manage database security, user roles, and permissions across multiple environments (development, testing, production).
  
• Configure and manage SQL Server Agent jobs, monitoring tools, and automation scripts.
  
• Support database-related activities during application upgrades, patches, and deployments.
  
• Assist in capacity planning, performance benchmarking, and scaling of databases.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and PLM application teams to ensure high availability and reliability.
  
• Implement and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 5.5 to 8 years of proven experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
  
• Strong skills in

  SQL query writing, stored procedures, performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis

  .
• Expertise in

  SQL Server Agent, SSRS, and SSIS

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies

  .
• Exposure to

  .NET-based applications

  with SQL Server integration.
• Experience supporting

  Aras Innovator or other PLM platforms

  (highly preferred).
• Familiarity with

  PowerShell scripting

  for automation and administrative tasks.
• Knowledge of

  monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., SolarWinds)

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
