Role Description

The SQL Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, supporting the data and analytics needs of India’s Future Investors. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing SQL queries, stored procedures, and database structures to power show operations, participant data, performance metrics, and reporting. The SQL Developer will collaborate with product, analytics, and production teams to translate business requirements into robust data solutions and ETL workflows. Daily responsibilities include building and maintaining data models, ensuring data quality and integrity, troubleshooting performance issues, and preparing datasets for analysis and visualization. The role also includes documenting data processes, implementing best practices for data security and access, and continuously improving database performance and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong database development skills, including proficiency in SQL and experience building and maintaining relational databases.
• Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools, with the ability to design reliable data pipelines.
• Expertise in database design and normalization, ensuring efficient, scalable, and secure structures.
• Competence in data modeling and translating business requirements into logical and physical data models.
• Well-developed analytical skills to interpret complex data, diagnose issues, and support data-driven decisions.
• Experience with at least one major RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and familiarity with performance tuning.
• Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance best practices relevant to financial and user data.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or finance-related projects is an advantage, as is familiarity with analytics or BI tools.
