Job Description

We are looking for a Painter for Fabrication prepares and applies industrial coatings to metal/fabricated products, involving surface prep (sanding, power-washing), operating spray guns (airless, conventional) with epoxies/urethanes, quality control (mill thickness checks), maintaining equipment, and strict adherence to safety (OSHA, HazMat) in loud/dusty environments, requiring skills in blueprint reading and teamwork for heavy industrial settings. Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation: Power wash, sand, grind, degrease, and chemically treat surfaces to remove rust/contaminants. Paint Application: Apply industrial paints, epoxies, zincs, urethanes using spray guns (conventional, airless) or brushes, ensuring even coverage. Quality Control: Measure dry film thickness (DFT), inspect for defects, and ensure compliance with specifications. Equipment Maintenance: Clean paint lines, guns, and perform preventative maintenance on painting apparatus. Safety & Environment: Adhere to OSHA/HazMat rules, use PPE (respirator, safety glasses), manage hazardous materials, and maintain a clean workspace. Material Handling: Mix paints per formula, rig large objects for movement, and manage paint/supply inventory.
