Speech Therapist

As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in the Clinical Services department, you will be responsible for evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. Your role will involve planning and treating these disorders, as well as providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Additionally, you will collaborate with professionals from various disciplines and provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language comprehension disorders. Your key responsibilities will include: - Evaluating and diagnosing speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. - Administering standardized tests and tools for evaluation. - Preparing detailed assessment reports. - Working on enrolling patients for Speech & Language therapy. - Designing and revising monthly goal plans and intervention plans. - Discussing progress with parents at the end of every month and obtaining signed feedback. - Establishing and maintaining cooperative relationships with parents to ensure retention in therapy. - Re-evaluating and preparing quarterly progress reports for patients. - Maintaining all records and documents of the child. - Reporting session attendance on attendance sheets. - Keeping records on Monthly Billing and Operational Procedures (MBOPs). In addition to your specific responsibilities, it is crucial to maintain a healthy work relationship with the centre head, co-workers, and reporting manager to ensure effective communication and collaboration within the team.
