As a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) working in the Clinical Services department, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate and diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages. You will play a crucial role in planning and treating these disorders, as well as providing training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals. Collaboration with professionals from various disciplines will be essential in your role. Your key responsibilities will include administering standardized tests and tools for evaluation, preparing detailed assessment reports, and enrolling patients for Speech & Language therapy. You will be required to design and revise monthly goal plans and intervention plans, discuss progress with parents at the end of every month, and maintain cooperative relationships with parents to ensure retention in therapy. Additionally, you will need to re-evaluate patients periodically and prepare progress reports accordingly, while also maintaining all relevant records and documents. It will be important for you to maintain session reporting on attendance sheets and records on MBOPs, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation at all times. Building and nurturing positive work relationships with the centre head, co-workers, and reporting manager will also be a key aspect of your role.
